The father charged with killing his 10-year-old daughter in a drunk driving crash is paralyzed.
Fifty-eight-year-old Steven Brownell made his first court appearance in Winnebago County today. Ten-year-old Kherington Brownell of Lancaster, Ohio lost her life in the rollover crash in August.
Sheriff’s deputies say Steven Brownell was speeding and driving erratically on Highway 45. They say he lost control near Highway 116 in the Town of Winneconne.
His attorney says Steven is now a quadriplegic with limited movement in his hands.
He’s charged with first-degree reckless homicide and homicide by driving drunk.
Kherington and her brother were visiting their father. She died at the scene of the crash.
