A woman who lives two doors down from the house explosion in Harrison says she’s never been in an earthquake, but she thought that’s what hit.
Jenny Hoffman says the noise woke her up, just after 8 a.m. She says her dog started barking right away.
She says a family has a summer cottage next to her house, on Fire Lane 12, and she could hear the three little girls screaming. Hoffman says she then saw someone running down the road with the kids, and she knew they were OK.
She says the windows of the bedroom that faced the house were broken.
Kelley Weber lives on the other side of the home that exploded. She says the force shifted her house, blew out windows, and melted siding.
