A report shows Republicans and Democratic groups have poured nearly $24 million into elections in the state.
The government watchdog group Wisconsin Democracy Campaign found Republican advocacy groups have spent over $17 million so far. The total for Democratic groups is nearly $7 million.
The groups use words like “vote for” or “vote against” in their ads and mailings.
About $17 million of the overall money has been spent on the governor’s race.
