The race for a state Senate seat in northeast Wisconsin is a rematch from earlier this year.
Democratic Senator Caleb Frostman defeated Republican Representative Andre Jacque in a special election. They’ll be back on the ballot in the 1st District next Tuesday.
Frostman is from Sturgeon Bay. He says he’ll advocate for and make smart investments for the middle class. He says he’ll also work to de-politicize the DNR.
Jacque is from De Pere. He says he’s done a lot of work in public safety, and was Legislator of the Year for the Chiefs of Police Association of Wisconsin and Professional Police Association.
Jacque gave up his seat in the 2nd Assembly district to run for Senate. He’s spent eight years in the Assembly.
