Governor Walker is conceding the race to Democratic challenger Tony Evers.
He issued a statement this afternoon.
Walker says his campaign determined that any change from ballots in Milwaukee wouldn’t be significant enough to determine the outcome of the election.
The city announced late last night that it still had to count thousands of absentee and early votes, and they put Evers over the edge. Walker’s campaign raised concerns about around 2,000 ballots that had to be reconstructed, because they were damaged.
Walker says he’s offering the full support of his staff to Evers during the transition process.
Walker was seeking his third term. He would’ve been the second governor in state history to win three, four-year terms.
