The attorney general-elect believes there will be multiple lawsuits challenging the Republican lame-duck session.
Democrat Josh Kaul told reporters this morning the state would be mired in litigation next year, possibly before a number of courts.
The bills would require lawmakers to agree to settlements, and let them replace the attorney general with outside attorneys in cases. The governor also wouldn’t be able to authorize the attorney general to withdraw from lawsuits.
