Prosecutors are charging a 27-year-old Oshkosh man with the death of his newborn son.
They say Cory Lyons admitted to investigators that he shook the nearly two-month-old boy five or six times last Thursday. They say Lyons told them he was frustrated with the child.
Rescue crews were called to their house on W. Eighth Street in Oshkosh, and the baby later died at a hospital.
Lyons was in Winnebago County court Tuesday afternoon on a charge of first-degree reckless homicide. He’s in custody on a $250,000 bond.
Prosecutors say Lyons was watching his son, after the boy’s mother went back to work for the first time since the baby was born.
