A trial is scheduled to start today for the suspended municipal judge for Fox Crossing charged with stalking his court clerk.
65-year-old Len Kachinsky is facing a felony charge for stalking and two counts of violating a restraining order. The former attorney for Brendan Dassey entered not guilty pleas in September.
Winnebago County prosecutors say Kachinsky’s court clerk filed the restraining order in February in the wake of a number of incidents dating back to April of last year. He was suspended by the Wisconsin Judicial Commission following his arrest in July.
Kachinsky was the attorney for Dassey when the 16-year-old gave a confession to the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach. Kachinsky was featured in the “Making a Murderer” series on Netflix.
