Governor-elect Tony Evers is still pushing for a veto on bills that passes during last weeks lame-duck session that would limit his power in office.
Evers says the state wouldn’t be seeing the measures if he had lost the election. He says people in the state voted for him for his policies. He says they didn’t vote him in to fight over administrative power.
Governor Scott Walker still needs to sign the bills. Evers is calling on Walker to think about his legacy before he leaves office and hope he’ll veto the package.
