U.S. Senator Ron Johnson says he’s concerned about a trade deal with China and other countries.
The Republican from Oshkosh says America has been very generous when it comes to trade and we’ve been taken advantage of. He says it’s good were coming to terms with North America and need to make a deal with other countries. He says the president has done a good job of reducing the regulatory burden and having more competitive taxes. He says it’s added stability to the economy. Johnson says the tariff issue has inserted some instability.
Johnson says as for a government shutdown he feels that’s often overblown. He says money is already appropriated for 70 percent of government offices and the other 30 percent the Department of Homeland Security are considered essential and couldn’t be shut down.
