Governor-elect Tony Evers is picking four people from Milwaukee to hold top-level cabinet positions in his new administration.
His transition team announced that Joel Brennan, the CEO of Discovery World, will be the Democrat’s top aide, leading the Department of Administration.
A member of the state Natural Resources Board, Preston Cole, will lead the DNR. U.S. Marshal Kevin Carr will be secretary of the corrections department. The new head of the tourism department will be Sara Meaney from Milwaukee Film.
Some Republicans criticized Evers for his first choices being all from Milwaukee, and not from around the state. Evers says those concerns will dissipate when he announces more of his cabinet in the coming days.
