A show that was in downtown Oshkosh in April will be back at The Grand Oshkosh next year.
Theater Director Joseph Ferlo says “The Four Phantoms” will return for three shows in mid-to-late September. He says it’s kind of a coup for The Grand. He says it’s a big, fun show celebrating “The Phantom of the Opera.” He says the four performers have played the title character over 6,000 times combined.
Ferlo says the performers went on a national tour after their April stop, including a sold-out show at Carnegie Hall in New York City. At that point, he didn’t think the show would ever be back in Oshkosh, but he says it worked out.
Kaley Ann Voorhees will also be back as a special guest. When she was 20 years old, she became the youngest actress to play the lead female character, Christine Daae.
The show will open the 2019-20 season.
