A retired state lawmaker and former broadcaster from central Wisconsin died on Christmas Day.
Walter John Chilsen lived in the Wausau area, and he was 95.
He represented the 29th Senate District for 24 years, until 1990. Chilsen was also the first news director and anchor at WSAW, Channel 7, in Wausau.
