Langlade County sheriff’s officials say an autopsy will be done on the body found in a home on Highway Z in the town of Elcho, about 20 miles north of Antigo.
The remains were found after firefighters put out a fire in the building.
The call came in around 5:15 a.m. yesterday.
Officials say the cause of the fire is being investigated but at this time foul play isn’t suspected.
