Plans to revamp and expand the downtown in Sherwood could take another step forward in the new year.
The village tore down the former Shenanigan’s restaurant and bowling alley last year.
Village Board Vice President Roger Kaas is the chair of the community development authority. He says they want to create a town square by the post office. He says they could build a loop, using part of the Shenanigan’s site. He says a new street could be lined with businesses, with room for outdoor seating away from the highway.
Kaas says two developers have come forward with ideas for that area, and talks are still in the preliminary stages.
