Governor Evers says he’ll reach out to Attorney General Josh Kaul, asking him to change the state’s stance on a multi-state lawsuit challenging the federal health care reform law.
Evers campaigned on dropping out of the lawsuit.
Majority Republicans passed a law in a lame-duck session, after Evers won, requiring the Legislature to agree.
At a press conference today, Evers wouldn’t say whether his letter to Kaul would be in accordance with the law. He says they believe the format of the letter will let Kaul move forward.
