A dog is safe after being rescued from an apartment fire in Grand Chute yesterday afternoon.
Crews were called to the 2000 block of Russet Court around 5:15 p.m. and found heavy smoke coming from an apartment in the two-story building.
Officials say the cause was a grease fire in a kitchen.
That apartment has significant smoke and fire damage.
Officials say one person was taken to a hospital for injuries not related to the fire.
