Firefighters rescued people trapped in an elevator and helped those with medical needs after an assisted-living facility near Green Bay lost power.
Officials at Bellevue Fire and Rescue say workers using a torch triggered a sprinkler head that shorted out the building’s main electrical panel.
The Ledgeview fire department brought in a light tower and crews lit up the three-story building for about six-hours while 175 people were evacuated.
Water damage is estimated at about $90,000.
The building is in the 1600 block of Hoffman Road.
The call came in around 12:15 p.m.
