A Democrat from Wisconsin says the crux of the federal government shutdown is President Trump’s insistence on using taxpayer money to build a wall, when he promised to make Mexico pay for it.
U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin was a guest on Fresh Take with Josh Dukelow on WHBY. She says there are other ways to secure the border, including using drones, fencing and patrols.
Baldwin says the ongoing shutdown is impacting people around Wisconsin, including farmers. She says they can’t reach out the USDA right now.
