The FBI says authorities were trying to arrest a Hortonville man at a rest stop in South Dakota, when he was shot and killed by a federal officer.
The agency says 34-year-old Nathan Thoe was the subject of an ongoing investigation, and he was wanted.
The FBI says federal officers from more than one agency were at a rest stop along I-90, when Thoe was killed last Sunday. Agents haven’t said what led to the shooting.
The FBI says Thoe had been in and around Pierre, South Dakota in the past several months.
