A state grant will help the Oshkosh, Appleton, and Menasha school districts develop more English as a Second Language and bilingual teachers.
The districts are partnering with UW-Oshkosh to get the teachers through the certification process.
Amy Swick is the coordinator of the Appleton program. She says it’s going to be expanded because of the grant, specifically in the areas of ESL and bilingual instruction.
The Fast Forward grant is worth more than $112,000. The money is coming from the state Department of Workforce Development.
