The partial federal government shutdown is having some effect on the city of Oshkosh.
City manager Mark Rohloff says the furlough of federal workers is bringing block grant requests to a halt. He says they have deadlines to file applications, and they’re just sitting in an electronic inbox. Rohloff says it’s frustrating.
The main federal money coming to Oshkosh is transit aid, and the state continues to pass that funding along.
