An independent investigation into how St. Norbert College in De Pere handles sexual misconduct and equality known as Title IX is over.
An investigator interviewed nearly 70 people including a mix of students, faculty and staff who had concerns dating back to 2004. All those people had direct experiences in reporting Title IX issues.
The report shows strong policies and programs under Title IX but that there’s also some confusion about the reporting process and transparency in how specific cases are handled.
The report doesn’t have policy recommendations but college president Brian Bruess says the investigator strongly supported his plan to conduct a legal review of the school’s Title IX program.
