A Republican from eastern Wisconsin wants to end the threat of government shutdowns forever.
Congressman Glenn Grothman of Glenbulah is introducing a bill to continue funding the government at the previous year’s levels, if Congress doesn’t pass a spending bill. He says the same system is in place in the state of Wisconsin.
Grothman worked on the bipartisan proposal with a Democratic congressman from Iowa.
