A Republican lawmaker from Greenville is raising concerns about the course description for a UW-Madison class on the American presidency.
Representative Dave Murphy believes it places hyper-partisan judgement on President Trump. He says the syllabus was a bit over the top, and he’s concerned about the way it would affect students’ feelings about taking the course.
Murphy wrote a letter to Professor Ken Mayer last week. The College Republicans at UW-Madison defended Mayer. The group called him an “intellectually engaging professor” that treats conservative students fairly. Murphy is the chair of the Assembly’s Committee on Colleges and Universities.
