Kids might get the day off from school, at least one more time this week, but the cold would be the reason instead.
Administrators usually gauge their decision on whether wind chills will reach 35-below.
Mike Stangel is the executive director of facilities in the Green Bay district. He says they want to let parents know, as soon as possible. He says it’s a fine line to balance, but he would rather call school and be safe, than have something happen.
If they think wind chills will lessen, later on in the morning, Stangel says they could call for a delay and still have classes for much of the day.
