Prosecutors in Waupaca County are charging a man with shooting his neighbor’s dog in the Manawa area.
Fifty-nine-year-old Jeffrey Buttles is facing a felony count of mistreating an animal.
Prosecutors say Buttles confessed to shooting the dog because he was sick of the neighbor’s two dogs being on his property. They say Buttles put the dog’s body in the South Branch of the Little Wolf River.
