Police say they arrested four teens for a crime spree that included the extensive damage at the Fox Cities Champion Center.
Grand Chute, Appleton, and Fox Valley Metro police say they also set the elevator fires in two parking ramps in downtown Appleton. They’re also suspected of breaking into a home that’s under construction in Appleton, and damaging an apartment building construction site in Little Chute.
Eighteen-year-old Kevin Peterson of Appleton, and 17-year-old Brandon Fossum of Appleton could face charges in adult court. Police say the other two suspects will be handled in the juvenile court system.
The worst damage was at the Fox Cities Champion Center. The sports facility is under construction, and the project had to be put on hold last week.
The fires at Appleton’s Yellow parking ramp were bad enough that both elevators are going to be shut down for at least several weeks.
