A new state task force on transportation met for the first time yesterday in Madison.
Appleton Mayor Tim Hanna is one of the members. He stressed the need to look at the system as a whole. He says part of the problem is that people only tend to focus on programs that are important to them. He says he’s spoken several times about taking a unified approach to transportation across all the different programs.
Hanna says the group will meet again on Monday to talk about possible sources of revenue. Governor Evers put together the task force to help come up with long-term solutions to the state’s transportation challenges.
