The Outagamie County highway department will study a stretch of French Road that runs through Little Chute, Appleton, and Grand Chute.
Highway Commissioner Dean Steingraber says they’ve heard a lot of complaints about the stretch between Highways 96 and JJ.
One of the trouble spots is the intersection with Northland Avenue, by Highway 441. He thinks they’ll look at a variety of possibilities, including adding traffic lights or roundabouts, at certain spots.
Steingraber says the cost of the study is $40,000. Outagamie will pay $20,000, and Appleton, Little Chute, and Grand Chute will split the rest.
