The upgrades to the terminal at Appleton International Airport are done.
Director Abe Weber helped show off the changes yesterday afternoon. He says the project included renovations to the ticket counters, baggage claim, and restrooms. The security checkpoint area was expanded and Weber says they made improvements to their restaurant.
The project cost about $7 million. Funding from the federal and state governments helped pay for the improvements.
Construction started about 14 months ago. Weber says they see the terminal as the front-door for many travelers to the Fox Cities and northeast Wisconsin.
