The Brown County Sheriff’s department is getting rid of the new dispatch system they just bought.
Green Bay police captain Jeremy Muraski says the XCAD system was unreliable and they were having too many problems.
He says the new technology was actually making their job harder. He assures people none of this will impact safety and security.
Officials are now evaluating their next move.
They’ll decide whether to continue working with the company Securus or try systems other agencies are using.
The county received $1.2 million towards a new emergency dispatch system and they paid Securus $83,000.
