Several tips led DNR officials to the man accused of dumping trash on Lake Winnebago last weekend.
Agency Lt. Chris Shea says the guy admitted to it, and he got a ticket with a $200 fine.
Shea says the litter was tossed about three miles from Merritt Avenue in Oshkosh. He says the case got plenty of attention on social media, but they typically see up to six similar incidents on the lake every year.
Someone cleaned up the trash. Shea doesn’t know if it was the suspect, or Good Samaritans.
