Limits on on-street parking by a park and a stadium in Appleton could become permanent.
The city put temporary rules in place last year around Erb Park and the Banta Bowl.
Traffic Engineer Eric Lom says at times, cars were lining both sides of the street by the Banta Bowl. That made for a tight fit for fire trucks heading to the Riverheath development.
Lom says when the new Erb Park Pool opened, there were concerns about safety, because cars were parked bumper-to-bumper on both sides of the street. The city removed parking from one side of the street in some spots.
The city council will have to agree to the permanent changes.
