Drivers in Oshkosh will have to deal with a long-term closure of the Highway 21 bridge next winter.
City Manager Mark Rohloff says the DOT finalized a timeline for maintenance work on the Oshkosh Avenue span. He believes it could be shut down for up to six months, but it would be ready for the start of the navigational season in May.
The maintenance work on the Oshkosh Avenue bridge was in the planning stages, before the Oshkosh Corporation decided to build its new corporate headquarters just down the road.
