A spokeswoman for the Wisconsin Humane Society Green Bay says the dogs rescued yesterday are safe.
Angela Speed says they’re focused on letting them settle in and relax. She says all of the dogs have been visited and observed by staff and given clean water and food.
Veterinarians from the Milwaukee area will be in Green Bay today so each dog can have a thorough checkup to determine their health and age.
She doesn’t know how long the dogs will be at the shelter but feels the cost to care for them will be higher per dog than in normal cases.
