One person is dead and more injured after a pileup on I-41 this morning.
It happened around 11:15 a.m. near Highway G. Chief Deputy Todd Christopherson of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s department. He says more than 100 cars were involved and whiteout conditions are most likely the cause.
The southbound lanes on I-41 was closed between Highways 10 and 76 for hours.
Deputies say about 70 people were taken to six area hospitals in Oshkosh, Appleton, Neenah, and Green Bay.
