The placement of a registered sex offender in the Town of Oshkosh will be delayed.
Winnebago County was planning to put a mobile home along Highway Y for the offender. But that fell through, after the site failed inspection.
County Corporation Counsel Mary Anne Mueller says they they won’t face a fine of around $400,000 from the state.
There are two more available sites to place the registered offender inside of the City of Oshkosh.
