The murder of a high school student is drawing attention to teens smoking marijuana using e-cigarettes.
Green Bay police believe an 18-year-old Preble student was killed last Friday over four marijuana vaping cartridges.
Lt. Kevin Kinnard of the Brown County Drug Task Force says the oil is very potent. He estimates it’s like smoking three or four joints at the same time. He says it depends on the person’s tolerance level. But he says emergency rooms see people having psychotic episodes from ingesting so much of the drug at once.
Kinnard says it’s tough for parents or teachers to spot marijuana vaping because the smell isn’t the same.
