Nearly 100 films will be featured this weekend during the ninth annual Green Bay Film Festival.
The event runs tomorrow to Sunday, and most showings will be at the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the St. Norbert College campus in De Pere.
Technical director Nicholas Wautier says they received nearly 300 entries and it’s a challenge narrowing them down. He says they have a group of screeners that watch each film at least five times. They’re graded on the value of story, quality, message and technical aspects.
He says they focus on local films and shorts, but they’re also showing some international stories and documentaries.
People can get single-film tickets at the door…and there are also weekend packages.
