Sen Robert Cowles announces he won't seek re-election in the newly redrawn 2nd District
A Republican lawmaker is concerned about all of the policy items that Governor Evers included in the proposed state budget.
Sen. Rob Cowles of Allouez believes they should be introduced as stand-alone bills. That includes a proposal to let illegal immigrants get a state driver’s license.
Cowles is a little leery about the license proposal, but he’s willing to talk about it. He says there are people driving without any training, and they have to do something about it.
For years, Cowles has spoken out against putting policy items in the budget.
