Governor Evers stopped in Appleton Friday to talk about the budget.
The Democrat is proposing an eight-cent gas tax increase. He believes dropping the minimum markup rule would save 14 cents a gallon to more than offset the hike. Evers says many people would see lower prices at the pump, while more money would be going toward improving roads.
Evers went to Lincoln Elementary School on the city’s west side. He read a book to first grade students.
