It might cost a little more to go to Appleton’s swimming pools.
Parks and Recreation Director Dean Gazza is asking the city council to increase the regular entry fee for kids at Erb and Meade pools to $3.50. He says looking at the revenue and rates, the 50 cent increase means they’re still very competitive.
Adults would pay $4.50. Gazza is also proposing half-price admission for the last two hours of open swim on weekdays. He says that’s typically the slowest time and they hope the change will boost attendance.
