Ridership went up a little for Valley Transit last year.
The nearly 1.2 million rides was an increase of 1.2 percent. Ron McDonald is the general manager. He says it’s heading in the right direction. He says the numbers were decreasing for a number of years, but they seem to have turned that around.
There were more than 984,000 rides on the fixed routes. That’s up 1.6 percent. The busiest route is West College or number 15. The stops include the Fox River Mall.
