A high schooler in the Fox Valley is bringing comfort to veterans by making blankets.
Aubree Leitermann got the idea when her great aunt worked at a medical transport company. She says her aunt wished they could give something to the veterans and Aubree came up with the idea of blankets. Since then she’s organized events where volunteers make blankets.
Jenny Kass was one volunteer who helped make over 65 at and event yesterday. She says Leitermann is making a big difference in the community.
Leitermann has given out over 700 blankets over the years.
