A veteran is experiencing the Old Glory Honor Flight back to Vietnam through a present he got while serving there.
Rick Chouinard was supposed to go but doctors found blood clots on his lungs. In his place he sent a Snoopy figure that he got as a Christmas gift in 1969. Other veterans are sending back pictures of Snoopy from the trip.
Chouinard still hopes to visit one day to make peace with the past. He says until then he’s extremely happy for the 52 veterans that got to go.
The veterans are scheduled to come home on Saturday.
