Village leaders in Howard are looking at new plans for a village center.
They started working with architects in 2016 on a site off Cardinal Lane near the YMCA.
Village Administrator Paul Every says a similar building in Indiana inspired the design. The potential building would have a pavilion with a space for ice skating in the winter and farmers markets in the summer. He says it would have a roof so they wouldn’t have to constantly plow snow, or worry about damage from the sun.
The village is still working on the design and trying to figure out how to pay for the project.
