A TIF district that covers a business park in Menasha will close early.
The area is southeast of the intersection of Midway and Appleton roads.
Menasha Mayor Don Merkes says they created the district in 1998, and it’s performed the way the city had hoped. The businesses in that area include a pet clinic, Gold Cross Ambulance and Swimtastic.
The area now has a value of about $11 million.
The city council agreed to extend the district for one year to provide funding for a new home upkeep and remodeling program in Menasha.
