State Attorney General Josh Kaul wants federal lawmakers to crack down on robocalls.
He says the Traced Act would require telephone companies to create a system that detects and stops the calls. It would also block them from selling spoofed numbers to scammers.
Kaul thinks the issue is a big threat. He says people shouldn’t have to worry that every call they get will be a telemarketer, robocall, or potential scam.
The bill would also let police use broader tools to track the scammers down even overseas.
