The last stop on a two week journey to Vietnam for 52 veterans from northeast Wisconsin is Hanoi.
Action 2 news reporter Jeff Alexander says this is the first visit to the city for the veterans.
He says if they had been there during the war, odds are they would have been prisoners at the Hoa Lo Prison, more commonly known as the Hanoi Hilton.
More than 500 American POW’s were held captive there. The most famous being the late Senator John McCain, who was held for five-and-a-half years.
It was a somber visit for the veterans.
The veterans are on their long journey home.
